If there is a single aspect for you to know about our prepress department, it is simply this: J.S. McCarthy Printers has an exceptional prepress department that always incorporates the best of conventional time-proven and leading edge technologies.

The J.S. McCarthy prepress workflow utilizes the Prinergy prepress system from Creo. In Prinergy, all source files are converted and normalized into PDF digital masters for use in subsequent phases of production. As the Prinergy system is based on Adobe Postscript 3 Extreme technology, you can be assured that JSM can process all of the latest capabilities of the common desktop design applications.

Whether it is the experience of our staff (28 employees with a total of over 550 years of printing experience) or our never ending investments in the latest technologies (RemoteProof website, Stacatto screening and color managed inkjet proofing) we spare no expense or effort to ensure the absolute best reproduction possible for your printing project. Period. It's a philosophy that may frustrate our CFO, but it makes for many satisfied and loyal customers.

While JSM strongly encourages all customers to use the collect for output functions in their programs, we also highly recommend the use of Markzware's Flightcheck for collecting and verifying the quality of their files before submission.
