Creating PDFs from Quark XPress 6 can either be done by exporting directly to PDF or as a multi-step process that involves exporting or printing Postscript from Quark and distilling the resulting file in Acrobat Distiller. Generally you will get the best results if you use Acrobat Distiller to convert Postscript to PDF.

Macintosh - Print Postscript and Distill

2. Acrobat Distiller Settings:
Next download these instructions on how to set up Acrobat Distiller. You'll also need to download the joboption settings file for your version of Acrobat.
